Valentine’s Day Recipe Ideas

How will you be Celebrating this Weekend?

Some of you may be celebrating with your loved ones on Sunday and others with family, or for those that prefer the non-romantic holiday version with just friends – you might be celebrating Valentine’s Day on Saturday!

Regardless of what holiday you choose to celebrate, this weekend is a great time to cook something special.  Sharing food is a way to show someone that you care and what better way to do that than with a creative recipe!

Valentine recipes do not have to be confined to that romantic dinner, there are many ways to create that special meal for breakfast, brunch, dinner, or just dessert!  Below you find some of our favorite Valentine recipe links for any meal of the day.

Let’s start with Breakfast, after all, it is the most important meal of the day.  There’s always the super simple and traditional Egg-in-a-Hole Heart Shaped Toast (no recipe needed for this), or for those that want to get creative, try this Raspberry “Cheesecake” French Toast recipe (it’s like eating dessert for breakfast): https://www.goodhousekeeping.com/food-recipes/a38409/raspberry-cheesecake-french-toast-recipe/

For those planning a little later start to their morning, a Blood Orange Mimosa is a simple and bright way to kick off your Brunch!  We’re also all about make-ahead entrées so we can enjoy our loved ones, so we recommend at least one baked good such as these Strawberry Muffins: https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/219987/valentines-day-strawberry-muffins/.  Or for the savory make-ahead option, you cannot go wrong with this Bacon Rose Quiche (the bacon roses are really simple too): https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/261481/bacon-rose-quiche/

Now onto Dinner, if seafood is on your must-have list, then we highly recommend this Shrimp and Gnocchi with Garlic Parmesan Cream Sauce: https://damndelicious.net/2016/12/17/shrimp-and-gnocchi-with-garlic-parmesan-cream-sauce/, its creamy garlic flavor is to die for.

If you prefer Dessert for dinner (and we mean Chocolate), we will say hands down, you must go with Chocolate Lava Cakes:  https://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/chocolate-lava-cakes-2312421.  This is a very simple recipe (it just takes a few more ingredients in your pantry with the types of chocolate), but they are heavenly.

We hope you find a recipe that suits your needs this holiday weekend and share it with someone special!
